My reason for this career path was quite personal: I saw that many members of my own family, as well as friends, were not getting the kind of help they needed to plan financially for the future. I was confident that with my understanding of personal finance, coupled with my training as a financial professional, I could help people better prepare for the future.
I began my career in the financial services industry soon after I graduated from college and have since honed my skills and expertise as a financial advisor by working with leading Wall Street institutions. After many years in the business, I have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance ideas and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives.
I hold a graduate degree from Winston-Salem State University (MBA) and an undergraduate degree (BA) in English from Hampton University.
My most memorable career highlights have been being included in Forbes magazine's North Carolina Investment Guide issue (June 2012) and being the recipient of the UNC-G Bryan School of Business and Triad Business Journal's Forty Leaders Under 40 award.
My personal motto: "Financial success is not elusive; it is within reach to those who are bold in going after it."
